Taiwan opens Offshore Software Development Center in India

The Taiwan-based Company for Information Technology Industry just commenced its Offshore Software Development Centre in Chennai, India declared to be the first Taiwanese Software Outsourcing Business Enterprise in India. This institute is also to fund $1.5 million in the development centre in the current year and the company is also planning to increase this amount up to $6.7 million by 2008. Company is also planning to some newer experiments with this plant for their Offshore Software Development services to India.

The center is spreaded in 8,500 sq ft of space in Olympia Technology Park for Offshore Software Development Services. In the initial stages it would employ 60 IT professionals by end of the year 2006. This figure is expected to increase up to 200 by the year 2008. This development centre will provide Software Development Services for networking and security & embedded software services in the initial stages. Company is also planning to provide R&D (Research & Development) for Taiwanese Information Technology and communication organizations from here. It is considered to be an innovative step from the company.
